Hi everyone
I have a question about root partition's size after install pve
I saw root partition's size can't over hd/4 in proxmox documents

But in my case, 2 nodes(these are vms in 1 node proxmox)'s root partitions's size over hd/4
2 nodes have 160G hd and 100G additional storage but I don't use additional storage now
Their root sizes are 49.75g and 49.81g
Could someone please explain this for me?

root partitions's size over hd/4
AFAIK, the setting maxroot you referred to from the docs, only refers/is used in the Advanced LVM Configuration Options you can choose during installation. This maxroot is used to calculate adequate space in dividing the whole disk; when you change hdsize, swapsize etc. However letting PVE automate the disk usage (on its own) will somewhat divide the disk differently.
