Restoring VMs from Backup available on external Drive

Hello Everyone

actually, i have one server running Proxmox VE and on that server i have 5 VMs, one of them is Proxmox backup server, all VMs was backup to the server, recently my proxmox server has some issue and i re-install proxmox on it, my quastion now, i have all VMs backup on my external HDD, is there any way that i can restore the VMs? i have mounted the drive i can see there are data but its not appearing in proxmox to restore, Kindly advise

Hi,
what format are the backups on the external hdd?
In the worst case you can always copy all the chunks and index files to a new datastore on the new instance...
