hi guys,
so im new to dealing with proxmox.
i am currently trying to restore a vm backup of an windows server system, which is in VHDX format.
the windows machine had 2 disks (60 and 500GB), with just 134GB of used space on these disks.
i created a vhd using disk2vdh. that file is aprox 140GB large, which makes sense to me.
now im currently trying to restore that system in my proxmox system, using the command qm importdisk. that process is now running, but the shell says "transferred 0.0 B of 558.4 GiB (0.00%)", processing very very slowly. i guess it will take a day or two to finish. now i wonder why its transferring 558,4 GiB, when the source file is just 140GB large. am i doing something wrong?
thanks for clarification!

Proxmox always shows the total size of the virtual disks, not the size of the backup or the actual used space. Restore always feels slow. The sparse parts (558.4-140) will restore quicker.
