RESTORE For testing

Hi everyone,

Is it possibile to restore a VM for testing ?
Without problem in the production environment ?

It depends:
If you make a backup of a running vm, and restore it in the same environment and start it it will have the same IP address and setup etc.

You should consider disconnecting the network interface, or reconfigure the network

You should really set at least the "unique" flag set on restoring, that gives the VMs nic another MAC address and avoids Ethernet/ARP conflicts.
