restore a container lzo backup to a new container on another proxmox

I backed up my container from proxmox1 and it is in vzdump.*.lzo format and I moved it to proxmox3
In proxmox 3 I created a container similar to oringinal container memory/diskspace/cpu wise

how do I restore this backup?

I tried pct to no avail...and I also tried to do gui migrate and it complains about rootfs

tried with CT id destination I created
root@mon-proxmox-3:/var/lib/vz/dump# pct restore 189 vzdump-lxc-118-2021_03_10-14_14_00.tar.lzo
CT 189 already exists on node 'mon-proxmox-3'


tried with non-existing CT id
root@mon-proxmox-3:/var/lib/vz/dump# pct restore 190 vzdump-lxc-118-2021_03_10-14_14_00.tar.lzo
400 Parameter verification failed.
storage: storage 'local' does not support container directories
pct restore <vmid> <ostemplate> [OPTIONS]

I can login to ct189 ubuntu machine and maybe I can restore just manually!

Any thoughts?

storage: storage 'local' does not support container directories

You need to enable containers for that storage (See storage configuration).

That is not the proper way to manage KB that others could benefit from my research!!!!

Your answer came after I found the solution about 8 hrs late!

local already has container enabled!
My answers that I posted before related to rootfs is the what is needed! you better restore them!

hello. , i have also problem in restore. ... i use to host all my. e shops. in dedicated server. friend told me to use proxmox i tried so far we move all data there we manage to fallow forum and get all run. .... now we i want to move to new server with promox. different data center i made full backup (vzdump-qemu-101-2021_03_11-01_56_38.vma ) and i transfer file. with scp. to new server when i go to do restore it run up to 29%. then error.
