restore a backup over 9000 sec

hello
i have restored a VM 450GiB
it took my node
9850sec to got it restored, what are the reason to be slow like that, and how make it faster?

Where was the backup located? (Network the bottleneck?)
How fast is the storage, both where the backup is and where you restored it to? That also includes how busy it was with other IO.

Close to 3 hours for ~half a TB seems not totally bad, depending on the circumstances.

the backup lies on NFS share on a FreeNAS
the bandwith used went up to 400MB and stayed there - but could go up to 1 gig

the Restore was on a
CPU(s) 4 x Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-9100F CPU @ 3.60GHz (1 Socket)
Kernel Version Linux 5.3.18-2-pve #1 SMP PVE 5.3.18-2 (Sat, 15 Feb 2020 15:11:52 +0100)

Have you tried what your network speed is if you transfer a big file to and from the server to the NAS?

Can you reach quite a bit more than the ~400MBit?
