Proxmox web console
The web console of Proxmox is rather simple so I suggest you should use your actual terminal and ssh for this or to make the window bigger use SPICE but ssh is definitely better for this kind of task.
1. SSH alternative
You can always use
SSH to connect to the server. You can then simply adjust your console settings to fit your needs. If you find the process of typing in the IP and the password to be to lengthy you could setup
SSH connection shortcuts or use
Putty instead.
2. SPICE alternative
Otherwise if you want to display the window in a local window running on your machine you can enable
SPICE by completing the following steps.
Setup SPICE
2.1. First head over to your machine's Hardware tab under 'Datacenter'
2.2. Set the 'Display' option to 'SPICE'
2.3 Reboot (or stop and then start) the machine of which you just changed the settings of
Note: Under the 'Hardware' tab nothing should be orange now.
2.4. Head over to your machine's console window in the browser
2.5. Now simply go to 'Console' in the top right corner and click on the drop-down icon and click on SPICE
Note: This will automatically download a '.vv' file.
2.6. Now simply click on the file that you just downloaded and it should bring up a window which you can resize to your needs.
Note: To exit press Crtl + Alt + R
