Hi All,

I have a live install of ProxMox 8.1.3
I just installed with the defaults and my 1 node shows that HD space is 94% used.
pve data has plenty of free space
I've seen some info online and here about moving free space from data to root, but they all seem to involve wiping out what's on data
I don't want to lose any of my current configuration.
How can I safely add space to root?

Thanks,

Mark

Yes, because data is a thin pool and you can't shrink those. Thats why you backup the guests, destroy it, recreate it with a smaller size and then restore the guests to free up some space to extend root.
