Resize a disk

I cannot for the life of me get these instructions to work

I am using LVM here is my attempt play by play

#lvs
vm-122-disk-1 vg1 -wi-ao-- 10.00g

# lvextend -L +10G /dev/vg1/vm-122-disk-1
some disk re sized output

#lvs
vm-122-disk-1 vg1 -wi-ao-- 20.00g

# cfdisk /dev/vg1/vm-122-disk-1
cfdisk (util-linux-ng 2.17.2)


Disk Drive: /dev/vg1/vm-122-disk-1
Size: 21479030784 bytes, 21.4 GB
Heads: 255 Sectors per Track: 63 Cylinders: 2611

I have tried to Maximize vm-122-disk-1p5 but nothing happens Please help I have been stuck on this problem along time. Previously I had tried some changes to the guest trying to make this work could this be a problem?

here are some infos and cfdisks from the guest
