Hello,

I have an zpool in Raid10. Works fine. I replaced a faulty disk in the past last year. Resilverd with about 300mb/s. I have 3 WD RED Pro and 3 WD Green in that pool. So i would like to change all the disk to WD RED Pro, becaue different speed and diffrent sectorsize. Ok, so i rplace one GREEN with one RED, resilver is starting, but so slow....

Code:
pool: v-machines
 state: DEGRADED
status: One or more devices is currently being resilvered. The pool will
continue to function, possibly in a degraded state.
action: Wait for the resilver to complete.
scan: resilver in progress since Sat Feb 20 12:00:29 2016
63.0G scanned out of 3.16T at 67.0M/s, 13h28m to go
    18.1G resilvered, 1.95% done

Is this normal in my situation? It was beginning with 2mb/s. On time it goes a little bit faster. And there are 2TB disks, so why it scanned over 3.16TB

Code:
zpool list
NAME SIZE ALLOC FREE EXPANDSZ FRAG CAP DEDUP HEALTH ALTROOT
rpool 27.8G 7.77G 20.0G - 44% 28% 1.00x ONLINE -
v-machines 5.44T 3.16T 2.28T - 27% 58% 1.00x DEGRADED -

Thanks!

The rate has increased a bit.
Code:
scan: resilver in progress since Sat Feb 20 12:00:29 2016
655G scanned out of 3.16T at 169M/s, 4h20m to go
        245G resilvered, 20.24% done

The speed depends on how busy your pool is. The resilver job is only run when the pool has 'free time' so to speed up the process you will need to stop or delay pool intensive jobs.

There is nothing. But i think the speed is now ok for one disk 198mb/s
W/A is not high 1.3

Maybe at the begin of the process there was something... haven't looked for. But... i will look for that at the next change. HDD are ordered. They should be deliver on 3 march.

Ok, is ready:
Code:
pool: v-machines
 state: ONLINE
  scan: resilvered 1.26T in 4h52m with 0 errors on Sat Feb 20 16:52:51 2016
@mir
you were probably right. :)
