Request migration vs immediate migration

I'm hoping this is a simple one. Over time I have noticed that some VMs get into a state where when I migrate them, a window pops up saying "Requesting HA migration for VM 102 to node pve02" and I close this window. I see the migration will start shortly there after, and completes without a problem. However other VMs when I do a migration, the popup window immediately starts the migration, and shows the status of it as the migration executes, and these also complete fine, no error. Does anyone know what causes the difference in behavior? I can't see any VM settings that are different, and I'm not doing anything different myself, exact same migration request method. Thoughts? HA VMs will create a request migration JOB.
Non HA-VMs will migrate instant.
Behavior is by design so far....

Thanks for the info! I was thinking it had to be related to the HA settings, but I check on these two, and the HA _settings_ are the same. However, interestingly the HA status is different Let me play with that. I agree I'm sure this is by design, I just want to know how to affect the behavior correctly.

Got it. I wasn't intentionally setting "ignore" but VMs were starting up that way. Appreciate the help, I can clearly see now how to change the behavior. Thanks!
