Hi All,

Hoping for some help here. I have 3 desktop minis with a single SSD in them. One is already setup with a ubuntu VM running various docker containers. My hope was to join the other two PCs as nodes to the cluster and then setup replication as a failover for my pihole. I set them all up as ex4 storage originally, but that obviously didn't work.

I then setup the other 2 nodes with ZFS storage as part of the initial config. Still no luck. Do all 3 have to be setup as ZFS storage? When I try to create a ZFS pool is says no unused drives. Is there any way to make this work as is? I really don't have to have to rebuild everything.

Would this work if I bought external SSD drives for each computer? I'd prefer not to, but it is what it is.

@jtwicker23 The replication is only supported in ZFS storage and requires that the pools are named the same in all nodes. Your proxmox node running ext4 must be migrated and you need to reinstall proxmox in ZFS. That way you do not need to buy extra ssd since your 2 other nodes are running in zfs already. Just migrate you Ubuntu vm and make a fresh install.
