Good day,

I'm considering some options to setup a "long distance" replication/failover setup, and was wondeirng about the pvesr replication to a server/cluster outside of the current cluster?
ie. current cluster in Europe, failover/DR server(s) in Africa/Australia (Where a cluster member would not be feasible given latency etc.)

The data transfer through pve-zsync (not pvesr) might be possible over WAN. But depending on the amount of data, the sync might take a long time and possible timeout in between. It is less useful for such distances. It might be more feasible to have some kind of replication on application level.

YEah, initial syncs are always a pain to get going, but if it is then incrementals it "should work.
SO the actual answers is more like: "you'll be beter of doing something outside of PVE's control" I guess
