Replacing PBS and moving old backups in it

Hi all.

I have a PBS with one datastore in it that contains about 4Tb of backups for a few VM and CONTAINERS.

I want to upgrade to a new server with more storage, and MOVE the content of the datastore to it. Any procedure/tuto to help me do it?

I just posted about this, I was hoping to get some help as well.

You could try the Remote/Sync Jobs in the UI, I tried to do that, but got some permission issues

Install and configure the new server and then add the old server as a remote and pull the data to the new server with a sync job.

Did you setup identical users and tokens on both servers? New datastore is owned by "backup:backup"?

I don't think the second part is explain too much, I haven't seen any tutorials how to really do this.

Not completely sure. I see PBS creating both here. Some is owned by user "root", some by user "backup".

I called the datastore NUC_PBS on both. I will check the permissions for the the folders.

Why on earth didn't I think of that! Thanks.
I did the setup and my new server is filling up as I'm writting these lines. Will get back with my results. No FAILED for now.

Okay so I managed to get something going, I installed a new PBS, changed the name of the host and datastore.

Created a Remote/Sync Job and currently copying the backups over.
