I'm not sure why but the PVE env 1.5 refuse to boot because he can't mount /dev/pve-root;
I try to mount also the disk in Fedora: the /pve/data I mount Ok and copy all VM Images but /pve/root can't be mounted.

How can I recover the installation? Can I repair this system from CD?

I wait some instructions.

  • boot from the 1.5 ISO, typing 'debug'
  • the installer will stop on the console, type 'control d' to continue
  • now the installer switches to graphical part
  • abort the installation and it goes back to the command line, now you have a full featured rescue environment (including lvm tools) and you can start analyzing whats wrong.

I receive initramfs error. I try to type lvm lvchange -ay pve but I receive error. Normal, from what I read, a sollution was update-initramfs -u...but I can't run this. I'm a little bit without knowledge for this kind of error.

What can I do using the CD?

are you using software raid?

no...I'm not using RAID. The system it's installed on a Gigabyte EX38-DS5 with Q6600 on a 640GB S-ATA 7200RPM. The S-ATA is configure as AHCI. So...no RAID defined.
