Renaming single node

Hello,
the procedure should be straightforward according to docs, rename /etc/hosts and /etc/hostname, reboot.
However, when I do, I get all VMs, not starting, under "pve", and couple of entries under pve01 (new name).
I am aware that the docu says it should be done on the empty node.
Fixed it by reverting, but I would really like to get the node up and running as pve01.
Any way?

Hi @kosta88,
you indeed have to empty the node, there should be no VM or CT on the Node.
It would be theoretical possible to do that with existing VMs but this would be kind of risky and a botch job.

OK, I guess that's OK, because as long as I don't have the 2nd node, which I am planing (a small optiplex or so, just for emergency), I don't have to rename pve to pve01 ;-)
