Hi,

In an old thread was discussed about a problem in uploaded OpenVZ containers (/var/lib/vz/template/cache) that does not appear in dropdown list (and is described as --unknow-- in template list).

I'm trying the following container:

http://download.openvz.org/template/precreated/centos-5-x86_64.tar.gz

I tried to rename the file in a lot of ways without success.

Can anyone help me about the correct name or a place to check the error ?

Best regards !

I made a test: rename to the same name of the appliance that can be directly download from proxmox:

centos-5-standard_5.2-1_i386.tar.gz

In this form, it's appears as valid. If I change i386 to amd64, the GUI list as --unknown-- again...

'unknown' is the expected behavior as the description is maintained by the Proxmox team and therefore only appliances from Proxmox have one. But its on our todo list already.

Hi tom,

Can I use this appliance in any form ? If the description is 'unknown', this appliance does not appear in dropdown list in the machine creation.

Anyone have a centos-5.5 amd64 that's ok for proxmox ?

Best regards!

I have the same template from openvz working fine , i have reneamed it to centos-5-standar_5.3_amd64.tar.gz . the description is 'unknown' , but it work fine this template .
