Renaming an LXC

I'm guessing I missed something obvious here, but how does one rename an LXC on PVE 4.4?

You can simply assign a new hostname on the GUI, or using the CLI tools:

# pct set <VMID> --hostname <newname>

Left out that I still don't see where to do this in the GUI. I can rename a KVM in the Options area, but the Name field does not appear there for LXC's.

This works on PVE 8.2.7 as well.
I had an LXC described as "Debian-12" and wanted to rename it to describe the web app "Dokuwiki"
Last login: Mon Oct 28 10:51:05 ADT 2024 on pts/0
root@fubar:~# pct set 102 --hostname DokuWiki
I reloaded the proxmox website and the new name was reflected immediately.

In the VMs yes, but I don't find it in the LXC. I am running VE 8.3.4

For LXC you should be able to change the hostname under DNS > Hostname.
