[SOLVED] renamed a single empty pve host, icons and rrd graphs error

I renamed a pvw host an now the webbgui has status ubnknown and rrd graphs dont show

I tried restarting proxmoxproxy and pvedaemon

Hi,

what steps did you take while renaming? You might have missed the changes in /etc/hosts on a hunch.
Did you follow all the instructions in our guide for Renaming a PVE node?

Yes i followed that, but I see now that I missed

• /etc/hostname

changed that now and restarted, same issue,

can a reboot solve it? Ill try to flush the rrdcached data now see if that helps

Hi,

yes, you should reboot the node once. This might solve some issues (as some things might cache the hostname) and also serves as a good sanity check - so you don't have any nasty surprise the next time you reboot the node.

You should also check that ping <new-hostname>, i.e. ping pm1 works.

cleared the rrdcached and rebooted, works now.
