Removing/Adding Clusternode

Hello,
I would like to replace one of our cluster-nodes. Currently, a single laptop is acting as a 3rd cluster node as a witness. It was merely joined the cluster to be in a compatible configuration, as we were waiting for our 3rd server to become operational.
So, I would basically power it down, remove from the cluster using the procedure outlined in the manual (eg. pvecm delnode hp4) and then join the new server to the cluster.
The main thing to know is that the name of the new clusternode will be the same as the one of the current laptops.
Also, the IP of the node will change, after laptop has been powered down, to take over the IP of the laptop.
Does this procedure present any kind of issue?

I did a similar thing except my new node had the same name and IP as the one I had just removed. Worked as expected and without problems. I followed the removal guidelines very carefully.
 
Oh sorry, maybe I was unclear.
Current Node3 (laptop) has the IP .63, while the newly installed Proxmox Node3 Server has .65. After powering down the laptop, I will change the server IP to .63 and join the cluster. The hostname of the host is on both computers same.

The laptop doesn't even have storage except its local disk. Only acts as quorum.
OK, so I don't expect any issues.
 
What I’m saying is, use the normal instructions for removing then adding a node and you should be fine, irrespective of whether the new node happens to have the same name, same ip, or both as the removed one.

Remove the dead node first though before you add the new reincarnated one.
