remove old harddisk

I have on my proxmoxmachine an extra harddisk DATA2. I used to have a DATA disk as well, but that one went bonkers.
Now at startup the system hangs for a while while searching for the old DATA disk which is not there.
In Datacentre the disk is not shown. (fstab is also the wrong place...)
How to tell Proxmox the disk is gone?
I searched the forum but found nothing.
