remove node proxmox and I want use same name and ip address

I want remove a cluster node proxmox ve, but want to use again the same ip and name, how to do it?

because according to the info I know if the ip same and node name can't, is there a trick

you can follow [0] to separate the node from your cluster first. after it's removed properly from the cluster it should be safe to add the next one (even with same name/IP, just make sure it's removed from everywhere!)

If I remove nodes in a cluster, won't the ssh/known_host file still exist?

If you want to manually remove a node from known hosts try these:

ssh-keygen -f "/etc/ssh/ssh_known_hosts" -R "hostname"


You can manually edit/view the files:

nano /etc/pve/priv/authorized_keys

nano /etc/pve/priv/known_hosts
