Remove MAIN node from Cluster

Hello, all

I have a clustered PVE environment, consisting of two nodes, PVE1 and PVE2. PVE1 IP address is 192.168.1.2, and PVE2's is 192.168.1.9.

Recently, I've upgraded PVE2, and now it has enough resources for all VMs, and I want to decomission PVE1 and turn it into a PBS.

However, PVE1 is the "main" node, it's the node where the GUI is running. I mean, to access the GUI, I use 192.168.1.2 on my browser.

If I try to access GUI via PVE2 node (trying to access 192.168.1.9), I have no connection (which makes sense, since it's now a cluster member)

My question is, how do I delete PVE1 and regain GUI access through PVE2?

It just doesn't get anything loaded, as if the host don't exist. Some problem with this node's web server, perhaps?

Before I turned it into a node, it was working flawlessly.

Maybe you have firewall rules in place and have not allowed access to the second node?
Which IP has the PC you are connecting from?

Both the API and the webUI are served by service pve-proxy. If you are able to manage resources on second node while accesing the webui of 192.168.1.2 then pve-proxy is definitely up and running.

It turns out there was some weird bug in the second node. I've managed to reboot it, and after it, it became responsive :D. Very odd.

Now I can delete the first node, a little more confident I won't lose access to the GUI.

Thank you anyway, VictorSTS, for the great support!
