I'm trying to figure out the best sequence of commands and steps to remove and reinstall a Ceph OSD. I can't seem to figure it out. I have a Ceph cluster with 24 OSD (disks). There's nothing wrong with the disks. One disk at a time, I have to remove them from the servers and replace the drive tray. No matter what combination of commands I try, I haven't been able to remove and replace the drive, without needing to destroy the old OSD and completely wipe the drive, then create a new OSD.

Here's the steps I'd like to do:

* Remove the drive
* Change the drive tray
* Reinsert the drive

Can someone point me to a concise list of ceph commands need to accomplish this? Every guide I could find lists steps for adding new OSD or replacing failed OSD. Nothing I found shows me the quickest way to simply pull a drive and put it back, with the least amount of fuss.
