relocating a datastore external drive to another PBS

Is it possible to move a USB external drive, which is currently used for a PBS datastore, from one PBS server to another? Nothing has been encrypted, it's just the PBS it is currently attached to has to be relocated to another site, so I am spinning up a fresh PBS on other hardware hoping to attach the USB datastore drive to that.

You can mount that disk in another PBS, define a datastore for that mount point and should be fine, yes.
Users and permissions could be a problem, you should make sure, they are the same on both installations.
