Hello All,

I am new to the Proxmox email gateway. I have just deployed the Proxmox gateway in our email environment. Everything is working fine as expected. Upon using the gateway I was trying to release some spam email from quarantine and found that after releasing the from address rewrites to the hostname of the proxmox(postmaster@mx-abckdc.com). Will it be possible to not allow to rewrite the from address so that the end user see the actual sender address not the rewritten from address. I will be very pleased if this can be avoided; and if there is any documenation or previous thread regarding it can anyone please point me to it I was unable to find it.

Thank You.

I was trying to release some spam email from quarantine and found that after releasing the from address rewrites to the hostname of the proxmox(postmaster@mx-abckdc.com).
The mail gets sent with a envelope-address of postmaster@your.pmg.hostname - the From header (which is the address that is shown in the mail-clients) is not touched

The idea here is that the admin of PMG get's notified if delivering a quarantined mail fails (and to prevent bounces from occurring - which might yield information about an existing mailbox to a potential spammer)

In any case this is currently hardcoded:
https://git.proxmox.com/?p=pmg-api....2cc519b5a1d1c866913d634ea5422f5d4;hb=HEAD#l91

Would you have an example (screenshot, log) where this is visible to an end-user?
