I have a proxmox with machines, how much I install it to these machines I put 1 tb of memory, but now I want to lower this size, because it slows down my backups a lot. My question is: does anyone know how to lose disk size? Already in options I only get the option to increase disk and not decrease.

Shrinking is not straight forward and may easily break things..
just search for "shrink disk" or there like in this forum, there are various threads already, and a general "how to" cannot be made as it depends on the FS in the guest and the host storage type the VM is residing on.
In genreal as higher level tasks: 1. backup important data 2. reduce FS and partiiton size inside guest 3. reduce disk of guest on the host
