Recommended way to configure secondary nameserver (DNS)?

This is not about any VM, but about the host / hypervisor, i.e., proxmox itself.

In proxmox pve, I can configure a single nameserver for DNS at installation. However, I'd like to configure a secondary DNS server as fallback. How do I do that?

According to the [resolv.conf man page](https://linux.die.net/man/5/resolv.conf), I could just list two different `nameserver` entries in `/etc/resolv.conf` like this:
```
nameserver 1.1.1.1
nameserver 8.8.8.8
```

However, some linux distributions automatically override `/etc/resolv.conf` automatically with data from elsewhere.

What is the recommended way to configure the nameserver? I'd like to configure it through CLI, preferably by modifying a config file, or if that is not possible then by a CLI application.

I did a quick test. When I add a nameserver to /etc/resolv.conf, it also appears in the GUI, and vice versa. Deleting it from /etc/resolv.conf also removes it from the GUI. Therefore, it appears that nothing else is overriding it and editing /etc/resolv.conf directly should not cause any issues in Proxmox VE.
