Recommended Read/Write/Ops settings for normal HDD ?

I am having a hard time figuring out the best average values to limit read/write/ops for a "normal" HDD like HGST_HUS726020ALA610.

I got 2x2 TB of these in SoftRaid, and machines running only Windows server. Because these machines have SQL on them sometimes a machine can read/write so much that it lags the whole node.

I currently limited the read/write only at 12 Mbps per machine, however I am not convinced this is quite good.

If someone has experience with these "normal" HDD's and can give me some recommendation I would really appreciate it!

Run the Proxmox OS on another disk to separate the IO. And if possible disable SWAP, as it adds additional IO.

Thank you, however this server cannot be customized... it's "AS IS"...
