Reccommendations for DNS/DHCP etc

Hi,

What is the best thing to do if we are running two proxmox servers hosting multiple guest os's for DNS/DHCP/File Services etc

1. Run these services on the HOST os

or

2. Run a virtual machine and run all these services in the virtual machine?

I tend toward keeping Proxmox as uncluttered as possible so it can focus the energy.

I think it makes for easier management of such services to keep them isolated, especially in a multi-user environment.

ok thanks - so basically saying put any and all services etc inside a virtual machine yeah?

Yes, it's is encouraged to do as JustaGuy says and leave ProxMox a virgin install (or as close as possible) and run any and all additional services in a VM.
