Real time clock om virtual guests

I need to know how the RTC works on the virtual guests.

1. do the Proxmox system at any time change the "hardware"-clock?
2. who maintain the time (NTP?)
3. what is the best granularity for the "hardware"-clock
4. Where do I find some documentation on the subject?

You can set each Node and VM has different timezone. Also, each VM can be different timezone too.
NB: each VM can be different NTP Server too.
