Hi everyone,
I hope this is the correct section to ask the question.
I have a three node cluster with two RBD resource storages, running for about 4 months. This morning, trying to create a machine I got the following error "TASK ERROR: unable to create VM 127 - rbd error: 'storage-XXXX'-locked command timed out - aborting".

Can anyone tell me why?

Thanks in advice

Hi,
is the Ceph cluster healthy? How large of a disk did you try to allocate for the VM? Please share the output of pveversion -v.

Hi, thanks for the reply.
Ceph doesn't show any error but after few seconds it shows a time out (500).
I tried to allocate a VM with 32GB, nothing too big.
For the output you need all three nodes?
Thank you

When ceph does not work, check your network between the hosts (ceph network). Their might be some network issues, ping loss, wrong mtu, problems on switches or cables.

ceph osd df would also be very useful.
