raw greyed out on lvmthin, when image is enabled

In datacentre -> storage, have a lvmthin created called test.

For content both disk image and container are selected.

If I add a disk to a vm, I can select the lvmthin, but the disk image is greyed out.

I see other two other questions on here which were not answered and the proxmox documentation is incomplete.

So questions are.

How to move a raw image to a lvmthin volume on proxmox?
How to create a raw image using a lvmthin volume on proxmox?

If its not possible why can I choose disk image as a content option?

the dropdown box is disabled ('greyed out') because 'raw' is the only choice for lvm-thin, and thus you could not select any other format anyway...
