Rancher/ Harvester

Hi All,
I'll preface this by saying that I know it sounds a bit silly, buuuut-

I really like the way Harvester is coming along and I'd love to have that GUI for orchestration. But it doesn't support RAID on bare metal, and a few other features aren't as polished as Proxmox.
So I figure the perfect setup for me is to run Harvester on top of Proxmox, gaining the advantages of both.
OK the other reason is I had waaaaaaay too many tries to get a k3s cluster running previously- this might solve my issues of tiny brain, big plans...

Any thoughts on this?

Certainly doable to run several harvester nodes under proxmox, but keep in mind while Harvestor runs VMs through Kubevirt it does not directly run containers. Recommended to set up a different K8's (rke2/k3s) environment for that and manage both (harvester and your K8s of choice) via Rancher through a single pane of glass.

ah yes, I just re watched the Techno Tim video about this, and I had misunderstood- you kind of need Rancher first and it can deploy k3s via Harvester. So what I need first is an easy setup of Rancher on Proxmox, or I suppose I could use Rancher desktop- will investigate.
Thanks for the thoughtful reply @vesalius
