RAM Usage Proxmox Host and VM

Good morning, everyone,

I'm having a problem with RAM management with one of my hosts and one VM.

Usage of the RAM is 75% on the GUI (cf. screenshot 1) but only 45% on top command (cf. screenshot 2). Total of VM RAM is 188 Gb.

I have also a problem with a VM on this host. The GUI display 95% of RAM (cf. screenshot 3) usage but free -m on the server display just 40% (cf. screenshot 4).

Hi!

1) Where did you get the 45% from? Adding up the numbers in %MEM I get pretty close to the 75% that the GUI reports.

2) Adding "buff/cache" to "used" brings you a lot closer to what the GUI reports. Additionally, the GUI includes the overhead for the virtual machine.
