Hello rulers and citizen of proxmox.

i've add 2 disk to my raidz1-0 using zpool add /dev/sd* etc. etc. etc.

My question is why is the 2 new disk not aligned with the existing 4 disk. This means something? Does my raidz1-0 works properly? I saw the pool size increases.

Thanks in advance,
Thortilla

That is a common mistake: you didn't. You created a stripe (RAID0) that consists of three vdevs: your RAIDz1 and two single drives. Please note that this is not Proxmox specific but a generic ZFS thing. There was a recent thread that explained that you cannot undo that, sorry.

As explained, thats not what you did. Its also not possible until zfs 2.3 gets rolled out. You're gonna need to destroy the pool and recreate.
Thanks a lot guys. Shall i delete this post? This is my 1st time posting. I usually lurk. But im at wits end thats why i decide to ask.
