Hi,

I wanted to know what would be the risks of a broken VM in case of error (fs, network, disks) during a process of live migrating a VM without shared storage with the above command ? What is going to happen if cancelling during the process, is the VM partially moved ?

Indeed, we'd like to move multiple VM (around 100GB or more, mixing HDD/SSD) between hosts before updating the host to the latest PVE version (and so on...) using this command but are a bit scared on the unavailability of them (especially if something wrong happen).

Thanks!

Hi,

the most common risk is that the VM will not migrate and that's it.
Sometimes it can happen that on the destination side the cleanup process fails and you have to clean up manually.
