Hello,

I have Proxmox 6.2-4 installed on my server.
I also installed a VM with Debian 10.
I followed the following tutorial to install and configure qemu-guest-agent: https://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Qemu-guest-agent

It works partially.

It retrieves network information, including IP's, but for RAM it is buggy because at night I made a large file transfer on my VM and consumed all of my allocated RAM.
In the morning, all the RAM was still used despite "qemu-guest-agent activated and active according to the WebGUI Proxmox (on host / VM) but nevertheless the transfer was finished for several hours already.

On the host, if I do a qm agent 100 ping nothing comes out of the command, it's empty.

Do you have any idea of the problem?
Because as it stands, we cannot trust the information given in the Proxmox WebGUI

Thank you all

You marked the thread as 'SOLVED' - did you resolve the issue - if yes it would be nice if you share your solution since this helps others who run into a similiar issue.

If the issue is not resolved - I would suggest that you check the journal on the guest and the host and see if qemu-guest-agent or qemu/kvm messages shed some light on what's going on.
