Hi!

When Windows 2008 R2 installation boot it asks about a CD/DVD driver. I know KVM uses a QEMU DVD-ROM driver. Anybody know where I can get a driver like this or do you have another solution to the problem?

default ide cdrom is used and this works out of the box with win2008r2.

or do you mean the harddisk driver?

if you use ide as hard disk, driver is built in. if you use virtio, you need to provide the driver (e.g. via a second cd-rom). just search the forum for virtio.iso with the drivers.

I though the default cd-rom driver should work myself. But I still get this error. (See attached screenshot). Any clue how to solve this problem?

It was something wrong with the Windows 2008 install media. I downloaded the trial version of Windows 2008 R2 from the Microsoft site and installed the os with no problems. I could then change product id from the os and...voila problem solved.
