QEMU Agent and VMware Open VM Tools

Hello all,

I have built a couple of Ubuntu VMs and when I update the system it installs VMware Open VM Tools, but it does not install the QEMU agent? Any reason why the QEMU agent is not automatically selected? I guess I have to go back to the other vms and deinstall the open VM tools?

neither open-vm-tools nor qemu-guest-agent are installed by default. if your update is updating open-vm-tools it means you installed it at some point.

Maybe ask in a forum for the used operating system that installs this. Seems like a bug in Ubuntu.
