Hi

I want to list all users with pveum user list and this is what I get:
400 Result verification failed
[834].email: invalid format - value does not look like a valid email address

[795].email: invalid format - value does not look like a valid email address

pveum user list [OPTIONS] [FORMAT_OPTIONS]
So I suppose there is some bad data somewhere.
Question is now where/which record.
Note that the userlist displays fine in the web interface.

Hi,
please post the output of pveversion -v. I'm not fully sure the sorting from the error message matches with what's in /etc/pve/user.cfg and whether the count starts from 0 or 1, but checking the 833/834th and 794/795th user might be worth a try.

Hi

I checked the lines around these positions, found an email address which has just the name, the whole @.... part is missing!
These users are synched from an openldap server. Seems there are some failsafves missing on the ldap server side to avoid entering invalid emails.
Thanks for pointing out that the numbers in the error message indicate the lines numbers.
The faulty line is on line number +2 when visualizing the file.
