Hello,

just didn't find this information somewhere, but maybe you can help me here?

There is a fileserver with some disks I do not want to sync to the other location with pve-zsync.
I also want to transfer the whole vm, notz a snapshot of it.

Can I choose something like "pve-zsync sync --source 100 --disks 1+2 --dest 192...."

Many thanks,
Andreas

Hi,

IIRC you can set the backup=0 option on the drives to make pve-zsync ignore them. Of course that will also exclude them from backup jobs.
Another way is to sync the dataset directly, i.e. instead of --source 100, use --source <path/to/dataset>. But this will not include the VMs configuration.

I also want to transfer the whole vm, notz a snapshot of it.
The snapshot includes all of the current state of the VM's disk. Do you mean sync all other snapshots as well? That is not currently supported, please open a feature request on the bug tracker.

Can I choose something like "pve-zsync sync --source 100 --disks 1+2 --dest 192...."

Many thanks,
Andreas
