pve-zsync email report

Hi, someone already tried or have a script to send the status of pve zsync by mail?

Checking the status also on the gui like replication would be also very helpful.

I'm using pvezsync to backup to usb disk on the same machine.

Hi,

On a Proxmox VE host, you get an email in failure case to the root email.
If you run pve-zync on a non PVE node you must add your email in the cronjob.

A GUI integration is not intendest because this is a standalone product.

Yes, you have to edit the cronjob manually and add the verbose operator at the job command.

You may want to check out Checkcentral or smtpviewer, these services let you know if you don't get an expected email.

in /etc/cron,d/pve-zync
add --verbose at the end you will get the whole log
and install ssmtp if your proxmox 5.4
