Hello all,

strange thing on one of my pve servers. I upgraded normaly to 6.1. So for a time there 6.2 was released. This update i was not able to install. The error message is:
Code:
apt dist-upgrade
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
Calculating upgrade... Error!
Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
 libpve-guest-common-perl : Breaks: pve-container (< 3.1-4) but 3.0-23 is to be installed
Breaks: qemu-server (< 6.1-19) but 6.1-7 is to be installed
 libpve-storage-perl : Breaks: pve-container (< 3.1-2) but 3.0-23 is to be installed
Breaks: qemu-server (< 6.1-14) but 6.1-7 is to be installed
E: Error, pkgProblemResolver::Resolve generated breaks, this may be caused by held packages.
Very strange. This is the only one server that we can't fully update from 6.1 to 6.2. Here are the packages versions:

hi,

which repositories are you using?

Code:
deb http://ftp.debian.org/debian buster main contrib
deb http://ftp.debian.org/debian buster-updates main contrib
deb http://security.debian.org/debian-security buster/updates main contrib

deb http://download.proxmox.com/debian/pve buster pve-no-subscription

deb http://linux.dell.com/repo/community/ubuntu jessie openmanage

deb http://linux.teamviewer.com/deb stable main
Teamviewer is because there is an XFCE Desktop on the machine.

I'm gonna go with this one being the problem:
deb http://linux.dell.com/repo/community/ubuntu jessie openmanage

There was a thread about that recently.
You are right. That was the problem. After i removed the whole delltools, the update was working fine :)

Hi, there!

I ran into the same problem. I can't update Proxmox. Maybe someone can point me into the right direction...
Because of the previous post, I start with the repositories:

Code:
deb http://mirror.hetzner.de/debian/packages buster main contrib non-free
deb http://mirror.hetzner.de/debian/security buster/updates main contrib non-free
deb http://mirror.hetzner.de/debian/packages buster-updates main contrib non-free
deb http://ftp.de.debian.org/debian/ buster main non-free contrib
deb http://security.debian.org/debian-security buster/updates main contrib non-free

deb http://ftp.de.debian.org/debian/ buster-updates main contrib non-free

deb http://ftp.debian.org/debian buster main contrib

# PVE pve-no-subscription repository provided by proxmox.com,
# NOT recommended for production use
deb http://download.proxmox.com/debian/pve buster pve-no-subscription

# security updates
deb http://security.debian.org buster/updates main contrib

Please change your Sources list to normal style. Also you have some lines double. Please have a look at here too: https://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Package_Repositories And for the next please open a new topic, because this here was solved. Thanks :)
