Hi All.

I wanted to run this by community to see if I have correct understanding:

Given: 3-node PVE cluster

Want: VMs on the same private network, across nodes, receiving DHCP IPs from the process on PVE, being able to communicate with each other and reach out to internet

Dont want: no dependencies on VM based routers, little or no changes to the L3 router the PVE is connected to.

I cant use Simple Zone - the VMs cant talk across the nodes, or failover properly, since the gateway changes?
I can use VLAN Zone, but no DHCP support. The upstream switch needs to be adjusted to accept VLANs. Not sure how routing is handled? The router would need to have an IPon each VLAN I guess?
QinQ Zone does not buy me anything over VLAN Zone
VXLAN - same as QinQ

Am I missing something? My preferred setup would be Openstack like: a network gateway contained within openstack, routing handled internally, failover/move across nodes is transparent. The VMs are on private network, separate from corporate private network.

Am I missing anything?
