Hello,
We brought 4 new dell servers, R410 with RAID controller H700.

Debian Lenny is not supported (missing firmwares for NICs and RAID).

I managed to get Debian squeeze fully working on them but I can't install PVE on top of squeeze.

The kernel I tried to install is 2.3.32 and the error is :
Code:
Unpacking pve-firmware (from .../pve-firmware_1.0-5_all.deb) ...
dpkg: error processing /var/cache/apt/archives/pve-firmware_1.0-5_all.deb (--unpack):
trying to overwrite '/lib/firmware/bnx2/bnx2-mips-09-5.0.0.j3.fw', which is also in package firmware-bnx2 0.26

Is there a way to get PVE working with these servers ?

Thanks for your help !

we plan to release a new ISO this week so just try this (with latest 2.6.32). we are already in the final test cycles, as soon as available it will be published in this forum.

You can, because proxmox ve provides that file in package 'pve-firmware' (just read the error message more carefully).

You're right, everything seem working.

Is here known problems to run PVE on top of squeeze and not lenny ?

running on top of squeeze is not supported, pls do not do this. try 1.6 ISO installer, just released and available now.

Ok thanks,I'll try this afternoon.
Is there a way to choose the partitioning schema with the ISO installer ?

you can specify the size of the root partition and the swapsize (use the search function, maxroot & swapsize), all other changes needs to be done after installation.

Ok fully working with this ISO.
Now I'll try DRBD and PVE Cluster :)

Many thanks for your work and for your support ! :)
