PVE on HP Gen10 microserver

Are there generic rules of thumb to install PVE on HP gen10 microservers ?
I would install just VoIP pbx VM in Raid1 system.
How PVE deals with HP raid system (that I think it's software one)
Which storage system should I choose ? zfs ? is it compatible with HP raid ?

Any comment really appreciated.
