Hello,
I have a problem, I had a well-configured 2-node cluster with PVE 9.0.11 version. There is a separate VM that performs the quorum task. With a well-configured network and storage. I created a new 3rd node and when I wanted to join it, it gave an error and destroyed the entire cluster. The entire cluster was very destroyed. I don't know why. I put the same PVE version on node 3 as on node 1-2. The network was fine.
What is worrying is that adding a new cluster member destroyed the entire existing working cluster. Currently, nodes 1 and 2 are single nodes because I had to delete the entire cluster config (files). Why was this?

Very strange, could you share the error you got when joining the new node?
Was the new server fresh installed not part of any previous cluster:
  • Do a fresh install of Proxmox VE on it
  • Then join it, as explained in the section[1].
Hence the new server shouldn't have running vms/lxc on it.
delete the entire cluster config
The recommended way is to follow the procedure in section 5.5. Remove a Cluster Node [0], and perform fresh install to make sure all cluster related config are deleted. alternative follow [2], its important to have the node in correct state.
