PVE installation - Keyboard Layout

Hello,

I recently performed a bare metal installation of PVE. I'm located in Norway, so naturally I selected Norwegian as my keyboard layout. However, I use QWERTY and many of my keys were not mapped correctly.

For example, I couldn't type the "@" symbol, so I had to redo the installation and use the pre entered "@" in the e-mail field instead.

No big deal, but figured I'd drop it on the forum in hopes for a fix. Thanks!

Hi @zync, welcome to the forum.

A good test to try is install vanilla Debian - do you have a similar challenge?

Just for testing, I spun up a test VM with; debian-13.1.0, and the keyboard layout works flawlessly.

Just to be clear, the issue only occurred during the PVE installation. Not even using the built in iDRAC virtual keyboard could save me. Once installed, everything has been working perfectly.
