[SOLVED] PVE Host hard crashing when booting/running Windows 11 VM [No GPU Passthrough]

I don't know what steps you took while trying GPU passthrough (you did not provide them) - but I believe you need to remove ALL the steps you applied.

This code almost certainly is linked to an iGPU error.

If I were you - I would firstly make backups of any VMs LXCs you may need later, and then clean re-install Proxmox fresh & then try & create a NEW Windows VM without any passthrough.

... actually it is a fresh install of proxmox without any tweaks regarding igpu/gpu passthrough

Today I made a freshly new install of proxmox in XFS instead of ZFS or Ext4.

I've disabled i915 drivers for the moment. I was able to run a complete installation of Win11 VM [12THREADS/12GB RAM] without any crash this time. I runned my first step of my high end tests with a youtube video in 8k and it crashed the host as always. Later I tried again the test in only 4k and it is still running for 5 hours now.

Later I will add Parsec using 4k yt video to see how it reacts.

Again I didn't use any passthrough methods at this point.

Well after validating my last post it just crashed but this time it restarted my host ! that is kinda different behaviour.

Hi!
What can you see in the Windows VM's eventlog?

Code:
$> cmd.exe type "eventvwr" enter

Event Viewer:
> Windows logs > System

Everything is resolved now !
It was a FW Bios issue.
They made a special FW update recently and everything is working as expected. It did fix all my issues on Linux/Hypervisor
If someone is struggling with a beelink gti14 ultra I would recommend to update the bios to the latest.
